Reeva Steenkamp went out with ex two days before she was shot dead

According to the police investigating, the shooting of Reeva Steenkamp by the paralympics star, Oscar Pistorius have been told she met her ex-boy friend two days before she was killed,  revealed today.

Paralympics star, 26 rang her during her meeting with ex Warren Lahoud, who she dated for five years.

Reeva who was killed in the early hour of the valentine's day was shot through the bathroom door by Pistorius who thought there was an intruder in his house in pretoria.

Prosecutors allege the shooting happened after the couple had an argument.The double amputee, a star of the 2012 paralympics, denies murder and was released on bail.

Her ex Mr Lohoud, who is into vegetable exporting business in South Africa, said he met Steenkamp for a coffee in entirely innocent circumstances. He reveals in a BBC Three documentary that Pistorius called her twice in 20 minutes during  their meeting.

''I said, ' is everythng okay. I mean he's phoned twice already'. i asked her that question. She said, ''there's nothing wrong'.''

we didn't really discuss personal relationships,  it was more of a friendly thing . She seemed fine.

 In the same documentary family friend Mike Azzie, who has known the athlete since he was a child and who trained racehorses for the star, said the sportsman was a 'broken man' after he was tasked with selling his racehorses to raise money to pay for spiralling legal fees.
