Easter lamentations •We recorded heavy loss —Chicken sellers •Transport fare was killing —Commuters

According to Tribune report, A News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) survey showed that the chicken traders at the Okokomaiko, Alaba-Rago, and Iyana-Iba had so far recorded poor sales during the season.

A trader at the Okokomaiko market, Mr Edem Okon, said the situation had been very discouraging as he had sold few chickens since the beginning of the week.
“I purchased about 60 chickens hoping to make good sales during this Easter season, but I have only sold seven out of them.

“This was not the situation last Easter because I made good sales then,”  Okon said.
Another trader at the market, Miss Azizat Oladapo, said she had not made any sales since came to the market that morning.

Some traders at the Alaba-Rago market also complained about the situation.
