Director of Light of Hope Orphanage at Akute, Ogun State, Mr Atunde has been accused of raping two minors at the light orphanage and was arrested by policemen from Zone 2 Command, Onikan, Lagos State yesterday Wednesday the 3rd April 2013.
According to Punch Metro Zone 2 began investigating Atunde after receiving a petition from Project Alert against him.
Project Alert, a non-governmental
organisation, said the petition was prompted by a teacher of the school
which the minors attended.
One of the minors (name withheld) had allegedly showed up at school in March with blood dripping down her legs.
When questioned by school officials, the minor claimed that Atunde had had sex with her.
Tobi Asekun, Project alert programme officer, said,that te school actually brought it to them and it was not the first time thery are receiving such complaints against the Pastor.
The minors are said to be ages 13and 14 years and currently about 22 children live there in the orphanage which has been functioning since 1996.
